Sarah Clifford
Founder
I am grateful to have this charity to build and focus on so that many people in the future can benefit and be brought together by the wonderful kits and CanInspire services that we are able to offer.
Kylie Curwood
National Coordinator CanBead
I have been with CanInspire since October 2018
I have always had a passion for working with people and helping them also. When I was told of this position, I jumped at the chance to work for a national charity. I have had plenty of experience working for charities, not-for-profit organisations and volunteer work also. So, this seemed the perfect fit.
I love getting to see all sides of CanInspire, working with a fabulous team throughout NZ and wonderful participants. It's great to know you are making a real difference in people lives, there is no better feeling than that.

Daphne Hinton
Mid Canterbury/South Canterbury Regional Coordinator and Tutor
I have been working for CanInspire for about three years but have been interested in the concept since Sarah set it up.
Having been making jewellery for about 15 years and I was thrilled when I was asked to share my skills as a tutor. I also felt it was a great way to give my time to something I am passionate about.
I love the excitement from our clients when they have a finished product in front of them or around their neck and the confidence, they get to carry on making when they are given their own kit bag and beads.

Sharyn Phillips
Hawkes Bay tutor
I have been with CanInspire for just over 4 years
I had just moved to Hawkes Bay, and was looking for something fun to do which used the skills I have, and also gave me a chance to get to know people in our community, and make new friends.
Being part of an awesome team of Volunteers. We have such an amazing group that come from all over Hawkes Bay.
Each one of us have different talents, which makes what we do here in Hawkes Bay a success.
We want to get bigger and better and branch out into the Southern and Northern parts of Hawkes Bay, so if you live in these areas, and would like to volunteer, or have a group you think falls under our umbrella. Get in touch.

Meg Rodel
Hawkes Bay Coordinator
I’m semi-retired and started working for CanInspire in March 2022. I continue to be amazed at the dedication and enthusiasm of our volunteers and humbled by the participants we are fortunate to provide workshops for. The motivation for the organisation’s inception and the ethos it embodies, offer encouragement and promote wellbeing. It’s amazing what a magical effect working with beads can have!
Kirsty Jackson
Wellington Regional Coordinator and tutor
I have been with CanInspire for four years.
My friend was working for CanInspire in Hawkes Bay and encouraged me to get involved.
I really enjoy the participants' delight in creating something unique and beautiful.

Rachael Allan
Southland Coordinator & National Funding Coordinator
I started as the Southland Coordinator in November 2019, before also taking on the role of National Funding Coordinator in September 2020.
The vision of CanInspire fits perfectly with my passion for wellbeing (I also run an online business in this area), together with being a creative person.
I especially love working with our team of amazing volunteers, plus seeing the jewellery participants make at our CanBead workshops and their joy in receiving a kitbag to continue creating whenever they feel the need.
In my latest position, I enjoy planning and tracking our charity's growth and reporting back to funders about what we have accomplished - and receiving successful grant notifications, which we are always thankful for.
"It's time to create," said her heart. "It's about time!" replied her soul.

Rachael Todd
Southland Tutor
I came across CanBead 8 years ago when I attended a workshop in Christchurch while recovering from a bone marrow transplant.
After attending a second workshop late 2018, I was offered the opportunity to volunteer and then tutor workshops. I love working for and being able to give back to an organisation I gained so much from
One of my favorite parts of workshops is when you have a client who has struggled a bit, look at their completed creation and you see that moment of satisfaction and pride at what they have accomplished. It's so rewarding to know you have helped them get to that point and have that moment.

Southland Tutor
Being creative is so beneficial for everyone's wellbeing and being able to share my passion of creativity with others is a true blessing. Seeing the joy of those who don't think they are creative make something beautiful is very rewarding. My other love is my fur babies.
Dawn Restieaux
Otago Tutor & Coordinator
Hi, I have recently started my role as Otago Coordinator/Tutor at the end of August 2022.
I love working with people and I’m excited to be in a role that I’m passionate about.
It doesn’t feel like work when you see all the amazing smiles on clients faces and the beautiful jewellery creations.

Bronwyn Reid
Otago (Lakes District) Tutor
When approached about joining the CanBead team Bronwyn says she was happy to be given the opportunity to help others to create, support and inspire, by bringing people together, sharing stories, and having lots of fun.
Kirstee Griffiths
Christchurch Coordinator & Tutor
I get why times of illness, trauma and loss need to be popped with moments of just being IN the moment.
Of sitting in a room with people you can laugh with, create with, nurture, support, and connect with.
This role is me giving back all those things, and more, thank you for having me along for the ride!
